Dr. Dan L. Edmunds is embarking on a new book. This book to be entitled "Being Autistic: A Phenomenological Approach Towards Understanding and Acceptance" will explore the meaning of 'being autistic' and differentiate the concepts of 'being autistic' from 'having autism'. It will distinguish autism as a way of being from concepts that falsely conclude autism is an entity and particularly an entity to be eradicated. This book will explore actual experiences with the over 80 developmentally different young people Dr. Edmunds has interacted with.
